Last night’s Christmas Concert was uplifting and inspirational. Around 100 students took part, whether as choir singers, soloists, players in bands, ensembles or in the orchestra.They were really well supported by staff who played instruments and sang alongside them. The quality of all the performances was superb. It was possibly, the best yet, in a long line of excellent concerts in recent years. The packed atrium, upstairs and downstairs, seemed to agree with a standing ovation at the end of the concert.
Huge thanks go to every member of staff who played a part, whether big or small, in making it such a memorable night, especially of course to Mr Richardson and Mrs Brett in the Music department and for Mrs Blackburn for being such a great support to the department.
